7 DAY SELF LOVE RESET

7 days, 7 guided sessions

    Why Ashton Norwood ?

A rare gem that reminds us of everything life herself would honour.

I found this little oasis at the end of a long, cold winter. I had been looking for inspiration, but perhaps even more than that, I was looking for a moment to rest. A place where I could stop doing for a little while, breathe more deeply and simply allow myself to be.

And then I found Ashton Norwood.

Walking through the Cherry Blossom Festival that morning felt like stepping gently from one season of life into another. The soft morning sun filtered through clouds of pink and white blossom, illuminating pathways winding through beautifully landscaped gardens. Cherry trees arched overhead like nature’s cathedral, their petals trembling softly in the breeze. Water flowed beside me as I crossed little bridges, paused beside ponds and listened to the quiet music of streams moving through the gardens. For a while, there was nowhere else to be. No urgency. No next thing. Just beauty.

What moved me most was discovering that this extraordinary landscape has been lovingly curated across generations. A valley of blossoms, shaped slowly and patiently into what feels almost like a citadel of love, beauty, resilience and grace. Meeting the family who continue to bring this gift to the world made the experience even more meaningful.

Gardens like this do not simply appear. Someone dreams them. Someone plants the first tree without knowing exactly who will one day sit beneath its branches. Someone tends the soil, protects what is fragile and continues when the dream is still small. Eventually, generations of people walk through what was once only an idea in someone’s heart.

That evening, staying overnight on this lovingly curated land, I pulled out my notebook and began writing. Thoughts, ideas, fragments of inspiration, little things I did not yet know belonged together. There is something about beauty that creates space within us. When the noise quietens, we begin to hear the whispers of what wants to be created.

I could not have known then that only a few weeks later I would begin connecting those dots with Chuck. Nor could I have imagined that we would choose this very place for our heart ceremony or that the quiet magic of the cherry blossoms would find its way into the work we are now creating together. Sometimes life leaves little petals along the path long before we understand where they are leading us.

Perhaps that is why watching the families around us felt so beautiful. Grandparents walked beside grandchildren, couples wandered beneath the blossoms, children ran across bridges and families stopped for photographs beneath trees heavy with spring. Different ages, different cultures, different stories, yet all responding to the same thing. Beauty.

There is something wonderfully universal about that. We may speak different languages and carry very different lives, yet we seem instinctively to know when we are standing somewhere created with love.

Perhaps the nervous system knows too. Walking slowly beneath trees, hearing flowing water, feeling sunlight through leaves and allowing the eyes to rest upon beauty can gently return us to a quieter internal rhythm. I certainly felt it. The gardens were deeply restorative.

We live in a world that constantly asks for more. More achievement, more productivity, more speed, more certainty. Sometimes it can make us wonder whether all the effort we pour into our dreams really matters.

Then you walk through a garden planted and tended across generations, and you remember.

    Yes. It matters.

The things we create with love may travel much further than we ever imagined. A tree planted today may become shade for someone we will never meet. A dream patiently tended may one day become a place where thousands of people remember joy. A life devoted to creating something beautiful may become a gift carried far beyond one lifetime.

Perhaps this is one of the quiet teachings of the cherry blossom. It does not bloom forever, but while it blooms, it gives itself completely to beauty.

    And somehow, that is enough.

What if the places that restore us are also quietly showing us where life wants to take us next?
